            — Naming, branding, and photographing a family-run restaurant and brewery

Above all a neighborhood hangout, the focus of Steele & Hops was local food and family, and creating a space that’s welcoming to everyone. Part of a proud history of beermaking in the Bay, we were responsible for getting their vision off the ground.

Beginning with the name — a nod to its Steele Street location and Santa Rosa’s brewing history — we were inspired by historic B&W photos of Santa Rosa’s hops farmers. Eventually those photos would make up the core interior design of the restaurant, an homage to the area’s long brewing history.

After deciding on the name and direction, Dines & Co. designed the restaurant signage, menu, and marketing materials for Steele & Hops.

Additionally, we were responsible for photographing the food and restaurant. Their menu features local producers and a range of fresh ingredients sourced from the North Bay.

Most recently, they’ve added their own beehive to the roof and their home-honey is featured in cocktails and dishes. Their onsite farm produces seasonal herbs and veggies and their house beer lineup continues to grow.

Steele & Hops carries on the proud heritage of North Bay brewing.
